Sunday Summary #25

Another week gone, another week I'm still battling with my lips. I've been using Germolene for two weeks now to try to tackle the dryness, cracking and sore spot on my lips. The sore spot comes and goes but the dryness remains. Having tried all lip balms/moisturisers I went for Zovirax today. I'm hoping the sore spot could be a cold sore or the beginnings of one. Either way I'm hoping this cream can get rid of it. If it doesn't disappear I should probably go to the doctors. I don't imagine they have anything they can prescribe but its worth a shot. Getting increasingly frustrated as missing wearing lipstick and lip gloss. They just cling to the dryness and highlight it even more. I'm off work this week and it'd be nice to have normal lips!
I've hardly shopped at all this week, amazed at myself. I'm saving money for several things coming up and been avoiding the shops. I find it too easy to waste money and I tend to go shopping on lunch breaks and spend because I can. I ordered on Accessorize last week and it arrived this week so that still counts. Can't wait to go shopping with my boy next month as there'll be a MAC to spend in :) I get so excited as I don't have one in my county. I'm after a bright colour and been eyeing up Impassioned, Girl About Town and Up The Amp. Had some random songs in my head this week at work. Wednesday I had Princess Of China which isn't bad, but someone Thursday was Ne-Yo Let Me Love You. Very odd indeed as don't recall hearing it recently. Think this next week will be chilled as I see friends in the week, enjoy not waking up to my alarm at 6:30am and see my boyfriend more. He starts early and finishes mid afternoon, while I work the norm.
Asda iPhone case & Olympics duck. eBay iPhone cat case. Accessorize order: Invitation set, paper punches (apple & heart), Sweet Shop stickers, weather and seaside stickers, Rosie bunny ring and Delilah ring, London postcard long wallet and Hearts iPhone case.
Primark super soft skinnies and floral top. Primark blue shirt. Boots goodies. Zovirax. Barry M in 340 Aqua Glitter, Revlon Just Bitten in Passion and L'Oreal Super Linger in Black Vinyl. MJ love. Models Own collection. Garden. Still a cashew addict.

I was really sad to receive the Accessorize wallet as I LOVE the design but it simply isn't big enough for me. Only one side has card slots and I need two minimum. I have tried having a little card holder in my bag but its too hard to root around for both when you need cash and a loyalty card in a shop. Its too much faff and I much prefer having it all together. I had a quick look round Primark as my brother wanted some shoes from there and only found three things! I'm not sure about the blue shirt but there wasn't many left. I didn't have time to try it on and still haven't so not sure how it looks on. I love these shades of blue and thought they looked good in contrast. I'm unsure about the back as it splits up to about halfway. I had to risk buying it in a  bigger size too as my boobs need room and I hate when they pull at the buttons. Couldn't resist the skinnies, they are so soft! And a gorgeous colour too, I have several coloured skinnies now but I love them. When its back to winter the black and blue will come out again. Treated myself to a few  bits in Boots with my Advantage points. I usually spend all year saving them up but I'd got £20 or so already so thought I'd use them mid-year. I originally intended to get the Revlon Just Kissable lip stain but went for the Just Bitten. I may go back, but Passion was so my colour. It looks like Nicki Minaj Viva Glam so very excited. Just need my lips to get better now. Needed a new liner and getting fed up of the Soap and Glory trying out so quick. I've been meaning to try L'Oreal for a while now and wanted Carbon Gloss but it was out of stock. And I couldn't resist the Barry M. Since discovering Models Own I haven't got back to Barry M. The Aqua Glitter looks amazing! Taking advantage of no work and wearing this. My nails tend to chip quicker at work. As you can I've acquired quite a few cases for my phone haha. Too many choices! Still got several in my eBay watch list I'm after. Trying not to go crazy and buy all of them at once. I went to see Magic Mike with the bestest and her sister last night. I was only seeing it for Channing Tatum and he does not disappoint. He spends a lot of it in not a lot. He has an amazing body and he can dance. Such a talent.
Hope you've all had good weeks

Sunday Summary #24

Number 24?! That will be my age in just over two months time WAH. Time goes much quicker the older you get. When I was younger all I wanted to do was get older, be an adult and do adult things. Now I'm here I miss the simplicity of school, homework and socialising kid style (down the park). I wouldn't go back as I love my life now, I might not earn millions but I am happy. I've met the man of my absolute dreams, I'm saving for my own house (childhood dream) and I'm excited for my future. I want children (one day, love my freedom too much right now) and I want the routine of taking my children to school, baths, feeding time, storybooks, days out for kid friendly activities, tucking them into bed and giving them the best childhood but that's still years off. There are so many places in the world I want to visit in the next few years. Top of my list is New York. Probably before then it'll be Disneyland Paris as I really want to take my boyfriend and I'm lusting after a London break soon. We've got a seaside weekend away in August which I'm far too excited for already haha.
Had a very good week with lots of memories. The Olympic torch relay came to my town and it was incredible to see it for real. The atmosphere was unforgettable and so excited, you could feel it. Had a crazy time getting home as the buses had gone into evening service (every half an hour, single deckers) but after almost half an hour of waiting it seemed a sensible employee got more buses into service. We managed to get onto a double decker which was rammed. It was swaying and rocking as we went round corners and roundabouts and you could feel the weight keeping it from going usual speed. Me and the boy ordered chinese which is always a highlight of life. I was still on a high on Friday and had about one million errands to run. Had the delights of visiting my sexual health clinic for more pills. They've cut their hours right back which doesn't help when I work full time plus last time I went I was kept waiting over two hours for just five minutes in the room. I decided to go early morning to beat others and was in and out within ten minutes haha.  The thing I find so hilarious is every clinic I've been to is always playing love songs. How ironic to be playing songs about getting it on when they are trying to discourage unplanned pregnancies and exercising safe sex. Plus they are such cringey songs. I blushed at one and it takes alot to make me blush! I was meeting my boyfriend on his lunch from work so had to kill time. Ended up going shopping as you do. Trying to be careful with money to save for a shopping trip soon, holiday spending money and just not be so frivolous. However I got some right bargains!
WHSmith finds. Paperchase laptop stickers 50p, Panda stickers £1. Accessorize Peace necklace £2.50 and River Island gummy rings £1. Primark Owl cotton bag. Pac-a-mac for my boy. London tops. Bunny pj bottoms close up. Bunny pjs. Striped jeans. Duck print peter pan. Dalmatian print shirt. Olympic torch relay.
I may have had several goodies to bring home on Friday but all cheap. I'm so disappointed with New Look still, can't find anything for love nor money in there right now which is so unusual for my favourite shop of about ten years. I'm hoping the River Island gummy rings will act as stoppers as my fingers have got smaller in the last few months and a lot of my favourite costume rings are too big. Most are quite big so these could sit under them, to keep them on. Otherwise its sale/charity/car boot. Couldn't resist the Peace necklace its so pretty when it catches the light. I'm fed up of Primark bags, they may be good for the environment but they fall to pieces in rain, rip and when they get home are just recycled. My Primark have a habit of giving you the biggest bag which is awkward to carry and always cuts into my wrists. I have a right thing for owls so thought I'll solve this bag problem but I bet when I next go in I won't have this owl bag haha. I'm happy with my finds, love Dalmation print and I wanted the duck print in a dress but didn't flatter me too much. Wanted the striped jeans for ages but they never had my size. They also now have a pink version but not too sure. I also found my boy a pac a mac. I've been living in mine the last week as the weather is so unpredictable and although they can get hot they're so light and easily packed into a bag if the sun comes out. My boy doesn't have anything even remotely lightweight to have incase of rain so seemed an ideal purchase. He tried it on today and it looks so good. I wouldn't think it was Primark as it had a union jack on the left breast and is a nice navy colour. I thought he'd hate it and I'd be taking it back but it looked so good on him so he's keeping it. I finally got I Heart London but I'm still to read I Heart Vegas so I'm behind. Can't resist a reduced photo frame I have too many already but still always find a space for new ones. I also found an apple charger in the sale so snapped that up. I've had my current apple charger from the very first iPod I owned in 2005. It's worn to death and I don't like the idea of having to keep finding my charger everytime I want to connect my iPhone to my laptop. So I'll keep the USB cable with my laptop and then use this charger for my iPhone. The last shot is the best I got as the flame passed us. They started running which meant I only got two shots of them this close. SO MANY POLICE AND SECURITY!
I went to see the Amazing Spiderman this afternoon with my boyfriend. I loved it and think the role really suited Andrew Garfield. He has one fine body beneath that suit and I love his acting. We watched the Dark Knight last night ready for the Dark Knight Rises in a fortnight. I'd never seen it before and was completely blown away by Heath Ledger's acting of the Joker. Insanely good. Honestly wouldn't have been able to wait this long if I'd watched it years ago when it was released as I'm itching to see the Dark Knight Rises now. Got a girlie night next weekend to see Magic Mike which I am far far too excited for and I'm dying for the release of Ted. It looks hilarious and I liked Mila in Friends with Benefits so interested to see her in this.
Hope you've all had good weeks

I Finally Decided!

Guess what I got?!....
 Pretty obvious right?!
Yes I finally decided what to upgrade to. I have switched to T-Mobile from Orange but hoping its a similar service as they are sister companies and did that signal thing a while back where their customers can get signal from both companies regardless of which network they are. I only switched as T-Mobile iPhones are free whereas Orange were asking for £169.99. Now who would pay that when they can get it for free!? As much as I adore my BlackBerry and love it to death, there are too many apps I want that they can't give me. The Samsung Galaxy is mahoosive and everyone told me I would love an iPhone. Its taking quite a bit of getting used to, but I am slowly getting to grips to it. Can't say I enjoy the touchscreen hugely as the slightest accidental touch while browsing takes me away to something else. I've spent ages scouring online for iPhone accessories. Its ridiculous how much is out there! I purchased my phone last Sunday evening and I charged it overnight Tuesday and then on Wednesday when I could leave Orange and transfer my number to T-Mobile. I'd ordered a phone case on eBay but it hadn't been sent out so I went out to find one as I couldn't even imagine using my iPhone without one. I found this Union Jack print one in the sale at WHSmith, £2.99 bargain! Plus I really like it!
So many cute/lovely/girlie cases everywhere I look. Plus there's a little shop in my town with a whole wall of cases that I need to go and look at soon. I ordered some super cheap screen protectors in eBay too which came yesterday. I have always used them for my iPod touch and the current one is so scratched from being chucked around my bag and in my coat pocket against keys. Aside from my eBay case I'm waiting to receive, I just ordered one on Accessorize too. I had so many cases (fashias, pretty certain that was the name for them as I could never say it haha) for my Nokias back in the day (noughties kid much) that I am quite excited to do it again. I never had a case for my BlackBerry as they are all that gel silicone stuff that I don't like much. My Mum made me loads of little fabric pouches from my BlackBerry so it was always protected that way.

I've been downloading a few apps but there is so very many out there!
So far I have: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pic Stitch, Frametastic, Picfx, Draw Free, Sky Sports (for my boyfriend), InstaCollage and Emoji. Quite like the look of the Lego Harry Potter and Where's Wally but not sure how much I'd play them. If you have any app suggestions and recommendations please comment below.

I've just added a new page to my blog about my tattoos. As promised still going to do one on my kittens but I want to chart their progress through photos and need to backlog to a hard drive for them as they start 18 months ago now. I can't wait to show how well they've done.
Hope you are all well

Spectrum

I love Florence and the Machine so much. Hence the title. Her floaty dress at Hackney was something to see.
Here's my sale bits I picked up last week. I picked a bad time to go in, the first day at lunch time. I usually find so much but this time due to the amount of people in the always cramped store I couldn't look at everything. I will probably go back to look for more at some point.
 Feather Owl pendant £12 £6
I've wanted this necklace for ages but managed to hold out incase it was in the sale! There was only two and the other one's feathers weren't straight. As soon as I bought this the sales assistant asked the manager to take it off the hooks and my receipt says price override. I think this isn't meant to be in the sale but if you spot it grab it!
Leaf ring £6 £3
I saw one like this in Dorothy Perkins a while back but never got it, so was happy to pick it up for a mere few pounds.
Bracelets £8 £4
I love wearing sets of bracelets like this. I used to hate wearing more than one thing on my arm but I quite like the layered look now.
 "M" Initial ring £4 £2
I couldn't help but be a mushpot when I saw this ring. They didn't have my initial but they had my boyfriends :) haha cheesy much.

Over the weekend I had a dry patch in the middle of my top lip appear. I had this last summer too and when I started to think back to this post, I started to panic. I cannot bear to go through it again. I slathered my lips in Carmex in the hope it would be stronger then Vaseline and give my lips moisture. I ended up googling the dry patch and found a really helpful forum suggesting all sorts of things. The best remedy for me looked like Blistex lipbalm but being a Sunday and I wouldn't be in town for when the shops were open I held out til today. Plenty of choice but this looked the best. As soon as I applied it I could feel it working. It reminds me of using Germolene last time, its thick and creamy, smells medicated and stays on well. My lip feels much better now and I will continue using this and hopefully my dry patch will go. I am seriously impressed at its power after only one application.
 Blistex £2.59 Boots
I also picked up this cream. I love calamine so much for calming bites and I have a fresh batch on my foot and ankle. The lotion leaves a white powdery residue on my skin and in the summer I will look odd. The cream leaves a slightly similar effect but this is much easier to carry in my bag as opposed to a glass bottle and cotton pads.
£1.60 Boots
Some of the bites are huge and so itchy!
How controlled I am now in sales! I didn't find anything in the Topshop clothes sale, but it was busy and nothing stood out. Can't wait to get down to New Look they always have good sales!

Sunday Summary #24

Had such a lovely week, enjoying my boy now he is home from holiday. Couldn't wait to get him round and just be in his company. He was an absolute babe and got me the cutest presents. He really does know me so well! A wooden anchor with a timer inside, a wooden seaside chest, postcard (incase his didn't turn up which it hasn't yet...) and a keyring with an E on. It meant so much more he'd really thought about what I would like. In the end I didn't give him a MAC duty free list as I didn't want him to go out of his way and I knew if he didn't get anything he'd be upset. We're going shopping together to somewhere with a MAC counter soon though. The absolute babe he is, went into MAC anyway but couldn't choose a lipstick as "they all looked nice and like what you already have" and they didn't sell nail polish as he'd know a colour I don't already have. Bless his cottons. Had a Chinese out with work this week which was very nice, finding it harder to eat with the heat though. The humidity this week has been unbearable, hate it. Glad its gone its just hot and windy now which is frustrating as you need something for the wind but the pockets where the wind can't go you're boiling.
Just had an amazing weekend with my boy. We've been together six months now and I am so insanely happy with him. It's just such an easy relationship, we get along so well and I love every second I'm with him. We saw The Five Year Engagement yesterday, I love Emily Blunt and she's so good in it! A funny film but some tender moments too. Went for Storage 24 today, I'm a massive fan of Noel Clarke and British films...so I wanted to see this as soon as I heard about it even if I don't like scary ones. Very jumpy, some gory bits and an horrific alien/monster. Just been perusing new films coming out and seen an alien type one set in the Underground of London. I'm pretty obsessed with the tubes (?!) and my boy might want to see it. We watched Batman Begins last night as I need to know the story ready for The Dark Knight Rises in a few weeks. Literally totally get the whole love for these comic book characters. Such an epic film and I think Batman is so cool with his cape, bat ears and the Bat Mobile! I so wanted to watch the Dark Knight next but it was at my boys house so will wait til this weekend. Usually watch movies on a Saturday night as we have more time and not got to be up early for work. Plus I'm usually so tired during week day evenings (old lady alert!) I hate trying to concentrate on films when I'm tired. Also my boys excitement for the Amazing Spiderman is rubbing off on me well, the trailer looks great and I'm really getting into these sorts of films after Avengers Assemble, I've been missing out!!
An extremely quiet week shopping wise! Got a few Accessorize sale bits which I'm posting separately as I always seem to every time the sale comes around!
Cool treat after work. My boy brought white oreos home <3<3<3. Ronnie love. Presents from my boy. Really white clouds. Vanilla coke! Sunday morning skies!
This week has definitely been about down time and chilling. My hayfever has been bad and it makes me hate going outside. Got a week off work in a fortnight which I'm really looking forward to, going to work in sunshine sucks. Then my seaside weekend with my boy in August is creeping ever closer, seriously can't wait. And the weekend after is bank holiday, love a four day week far too much.
Hope you've all had good weeks :)

Make Up Q&A

When I saw that Lacey had posted this I just had to do my own version! Love these sorts of posts.

1. What’s your favourite eye shadow colour to wear? Not an eyeshadow as such but I pretty much wear the Collection 2000 Glam Liner in number 3 Funk everyday. An entire lid covering would be a MAC Paint Pot.

2. What’s the one product you wouldn’t leave your house without? Lipbalm, I hate dry lips!

3. What’s your favourite makeup look? Black cat flick eyes - they really open up your eyes.

4. Which feature do you play up the most? Eyes, I really think eyes make the face.

5. Which feature do you try to downplay/cover up? My pores, they're aren't bad but I wish I had doll like skin.

6. Your favourite makeup brand, if you could pick only ONE to exist? MAC

7. Which product have you re-purchased OVER and OVER again? I tend to buy different products to try so never really stick to the same. However Avon lipgloss, I've been using for about 8 years. Ticks all the boxes and I get through so many tubes.

8. Which product would you NEVER repurchase again and whyRimmel nail polish, chips after only a few hours.

9. One beauty treatment you would always PAY to have done? Eyelash extensions or (maybe) fake tan.

10. One beauty treatment you would NEVER pay to have done? Nails - so many good products on the market now to do your own. I've seen salon routines ruin too many girls nails and I think they look pretty vulgar in all honesty. Shop bought false nails are more realistic and you're more likely to know the products/chemicals going on your nails.

11. One beauty trick you can share with everyone? Not sure I have one! Always be comfortable with the products you wear.

12. Best advice you've ever been given regarding beauty and makeup? Always remove all make-up at night and cleanse, tone and moisturise.

I also did the "My Life in Make-Up" tag post, which you can find here.
