Sunday Summary #36

I've been so poorly this week and it's culminated in the most delightful cold and sicky stomach :( I struggled through work and wasn't that much fun for my poor boyfriend. I barely slept Thursday night and saw my boyfriend off to work at 6:30am feeling like death. I waited for him to finish work wishing I didn't feel so bad as my last birthday present - tickets to Grease the musical with him was that afternoon. My Mum dropped us off at the Theatre with me dosed up and hoping I'd enjoy the show. I had to time blowing my nose so not to disturb others, luckily the matinee performance wasn't full and I had no-one sat next to me. The bright lights made my eyes ache and I couldn't sing along but it was amazing all the same. Truly love my boyfriend so much for taking me as when I discovered tickets were on sale I BEGGED my Mum. It showed me how much he loves me as he knew how very much I wanted to go. I felt exhausted afterwards which I hoped would mean I could sleep but I spent another night awake unable to breathe and with stomach ache making me feel I was going to be sick at any moment. I spent Saturday in bed watching DVDs, praying I'd sleep. I forced some soup down about 9pm and surprised myself by falling asleep later on. I slept from about midnight til 8am, so happy! It felt so weird though as I usually sleep til about 10 on a Sunday. I can breathe today and my stomach doesn't hurt as much. I've got a cough which I'm trying not to let become any worse as I hate coughing. Fingers crossed I'll be back to normal in the next few days. Getting serious cabin fever now! My boyfriend has gone to Brighton for his friends birthday which is just as well as I'm hardly a bundle of fun right now. He's promised we'll go as I've always wanted to, so its added to our ever growing places to travel/holiday list.

I've done no shopping this week except a quick run to Primark in a break at work. I'd seen a bed throw last weekend that I didn't buy and some iPhone cases so had to go back. I kept waiting to feel better which didn't happen so I just grabbed a few bits.
I had to buy a Grease programme :)
Ronnie has decided to sleep here, the entire weekend while I've been ill. Its been a comfort hearing/seeing him there as I miss my boyfriend.
Primark:
 Black Lace Playsuit £15
The top panel is just lace. Not sure I'll keep this as the leg sections are massive so they're loose and unless I wore black tights I'd no doubt flash my bum.

Navy and Gold Thread Heritage Jacket £25

I have a cropped blazer that's a navy wool with gold thread mix that I ADORE. This is very similar but more of a jacket and a tougher material, so will be more appropriate for colder times.
iPhone cases, all £2!
I love these to keep me warm :)
I've resisted this for weeks, and finally caved. I knew I'd never get over it if I didn't own it. Not too sure what I'll wear this with yet.
Superdrug:
 Barry M Magenta Glitter
Batiste is on offer everywhere at the moment. I'm getting through so much as I avoid washing my hair in the hope it helps it grow, Cherry is my favourite but so hard to find! New Impulse, I got it purely because its got Jasmine in it.
Really interesting to read through the programme. My boyfriend discovered someone that went to the same school as him was playing  Rizzo (she was great). Small world and all that.
Mum went to Primark:
Gold zips £25
I love wearing leather jackets (or pleather if you'd rather). Mum called to ask if I wanted this and I said yes. I can only say the magpie in me craved gold zips. The only other jacket I have with gold zips is my biker one.
 Reduced to £2!
 More iPhone cases.
Really love this one, looks much more expensive than its £3 price tag.
Lusted after this jacket for ages so was happy Mum got me one :) £25
Grey and dusky rose skull scarf £3
I'm not blonde, but I am a massive My Little Pony fan! £6
 Duck print blazer, £10 sale
So happy with my new items :) Mum knows me so well. She was saying I have too many jackets and too many clothes so I need a clear out, but I like having a big collection of clothing. I think it may be because I have claimed half of her wardrobes as mine :) Can't believe today is the last day of September! WHERE IS THIS YEAR GOING?! Very excited for October as its my littlest brothers 18th birthday (where's the time gone?!) Halloween, getting colder, Christmas stock is appearing in shops and X Factor Live shows start.
Hope you've all had good weeks

ASOS Wishlist

I've been so poorly this week and the cold has finally come out and bed ridden me. While watching DVDs I was browsing online and as I haven't looked at the ASOS Jewellery for ages I decided to see what's new. Massive mistake as there's loads of new stuff I want!

River Island Perfume Bottle Pendant £6 link
ASOS Cat Ears Watch £20 link
Disney Couture Exclusive to ASOS Believe ring £20 link
ASOS Bird Bowl Ring Dish £8 link

ASOS Jewelled Bunting Necklace £10 link
ASOS 'Necklaces' Hook £12 link
Disney Couture Believing Is Just The Beginning Ring £30 link
Disney Couture Tink Necklace £75 link
Disney Couture 7 Dwarves Ring £45 link
ASOS Pearl Bow Hair Barrette £6 link

Total: £232
Just a bit much eh. I would love a Disney Couture piece in my life and although I always lust after them I've never actually bought one as I usually never pick. I have my eye on the Believe wrap ring as I really like those types of rings so will think about it. I really want the bird ring dish as my ring drawers are now full and I need something else to sit on my dressing table. What do you like?

Get To Know Me Tag

I came across this post on my dashboard tonight by The Pampered Pout, I love these as I can be quite nosy and enjoy reading about other peoples lives and finding out little interesting facts and stories.

1. Are you named after anyone?
No, I was very nearly named Peaches after Peaches Geldof but my parents decided against it as they didn't want me to get called peachy-bum in the playground! My middle names are Lauren Kate which they just liked and we all have three syllable, two syllable and one syllable names (Joshua Matthew Sean, Dominic Jordan Neal, Gregory Patrick Craig). This is something I would like to continue for my children and my boyfriend has two middles names so even more reason to carry it on.

2. When was the last time you cried?
Incredibly cheesy but the night of my birthday. I'd been so spoilt and as me and the boyfriend fell asleep he said he loved me and I got all emotional. All his presents had been carefully thought out and it meant so much to me.

3. Do you have kids?
No, much as I can't wait for children, I want to enjoy being in a relationship and a couple. Ideally I'd like to have my own house and be married, before I bring a baby/babies into the world.

4. If you were another person, would you be friends with yourself?
I'd like to think so. I make friends very easily which I hope says something good!

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Not overly, I used to be funny sarcastic a lot when I was about 20 but not so much nowadays.

6. Will you ever bunjee jump?
Unlikely, my boyfriend made me go on Sky Drop at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach and I was petrified. I was shaking for ages afterwards and I was in a seat, in a body lock

7. What's your favourite cereal?
Honey nut Cheerios! But I also love Frosties, Sugar Puffs, Cookie Crisp and Lucky Charms (sugary sweet basically!)

8. What's the first thing you notice about people?
Their face, eyes specifically. Then if I'm still looking it'll be clothes/hair/bag/style/walk/what they're doing.

9. What is your eye colour?
Greeny blue, in my opinion. My boyfriend says more greeny brown. I think it depends on my make-up.

10. Scary movies or a happy ending?
Happy ending, scary movies aren't my thing really. I liked the Woman in Black, but I'm not a fan usually.

11. Favourite smell?
My boyfriend or my cats. I have a particular thing for washing powder/fabric softener/fresh washing.

12. Summer or Winter?
Hard choice but Winter is my winner. I love wrapping up in coats, scarves, gloves, boots and hats, snuggling my boyfriend, my heated blanket, my collection of blankets, sewing two duvets together for the winter, hot meals and hot showers.

13. Computer or TV?
They kind of go hand in hand for me. I rarely just sit and watch tv, so when I'm on my laptop it'll be on while I do whatever I do. Terrible use of electric really as the tv is just background noise.

14. What's the furthest you've ever been from home?
Disneyland Paris. I would like to travel much further afield though, hence my wish not to have children yet.

15. Do you have any special talents?
Being crazy. :)

16. Where were you born?
Planet Earth :)

17. What are your hobbies?
Photography, blogging, beaches, shopping (yes)

18. Do you have any pets?
Yes, two silver tabby cats, a tank of fish and seven guinea pigs.

19. Favourite Movie?
I don't have one specifically but anything Disney, the Harry Potter films particularly the later ones. I really love the Notebook but I always cry.

20. Do you have any siblings?
Three younger brothers

So that's me :) I tag everyone.

Sunday Summary #35

After a glorious work free week, I am certainly wishing I wasn't returning tomorrow. Another week please. I've had a perfect mix of rest and play, with my birthday on Thursday. Went to see Lawless on Monday with my boyfriend, so good! The trailer had intrigued me but the film was just much more than I had expected. Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf were outstanding and the rest of the cast were perfect for their roles. Monday night Mum trailed me round Asda and Tescos, I love shopping but it was so much in one evening! I found the sweetest pink coat in George at Asda with black bows. I got some mermaid green court shoes which I instantly fell in love with. They have a short enough heel that I could wear them all day, probably. I currently only have stiletto height heels in my wardrobe which are great but sometimes not that practical. My Mum got me two more pairs of courts today in red and pink, they'd be perfect for an interview too as they aren't too high but flats can look too casual sometimes.
I used to love Florence + Fred at Tesco but I haven't found anything in there for ages. When I looked it was all very mumsy and casual, which is fine if that's your style. On Tuesday I saw my best friend and her little girl. We had fun watching kids tv and her little girl going through all the bracelets my Mum has been making. After lunch we went to my local park and I had my workout pushing the swing two million times. Then one of the slides had two platforms to get up to it so I stood on the middle one to assist reaching the slide. Much more arm muscle workout ensued as I pulled and then pushed up. Wednesday I visited my Mum's best friends with her and we stopped at Matalan on the way home. I got some great bits and everything I'd seen on their website I found in store, yay to that! I went to see Dredd 3D with my boyfriend and two of our friends on Wednesday evening. I felt it was pointless in 3D as barely any of it was 3D, but it was a good film and the boys enjoyed it. Thursday morning I was woken by my Mum bringing a HUGE box into my room. My boyfriend had sent me a massive crown balloon! He was at work so wouldn't be with me until the afternoon. I had breakfast and lunch in bed watching my Hills boxset and then went to meet my boyfriend from work. One of my brothers should have worked til 9pm but got off at 8pm so I waited til he got home with his girlfriend to open my presents. It practically goes without saying we always have chinese takeaway on my birthday, I love it! I was feeling quite rough though as I felt I had a cold coming. By the time we'd eaten and I'd opened my presents it was time for bed. Didn't do my cake til last night as Friday I spent relatively bare faced and feeling sorry for myself. I haven't had a cold come out and have now decided its hayfever. At the end of September. Yup, sucks to be me. Piriton has stopped my sneezing and constantly running nose thankfully. I spent yesterday shopping and got some bargains in New Look. In other random news I got Sims 3 quite a few months ago now. My boyfriend got it and it seemed worth a buy. I struggled so much to play it I ended up forgetting about it. I've loved Sims since I was younger and thought both Sims and Sims 2 were excellent and I spent hours tending to my neighbourhoods and families. I'd asked for some Sims 3 expansions for my birthday as I didn't have anything else to ask for. Since installing them I have totally turned into a Sims 3 lover. There are certain aspects of the game I don't like but for now I'm enjoying it. Sims Vacation, Makin' Magic and Sims 2 Seasons are my all time favourite expansions so I am super excited to get Sims 3 Supernatural and Seasons. I love the fact on Sims 3 Pets you can have a horse, childhood dream!
 Stole my chair! Pink coat.

So that should be everything, don't think I have forgotten anything. Very excited for more autumn/winter wardrobe additions. Wanted a quilted jacket for years and finally got one! Never thought I would be a chelsea boot owner or wearer but I think its the plain ones I dislike not the boots themselves. Couldn't believe the Primark leopard print boots. I found a pair in Internationale last year but the last pair was too small. How I wanted those boots and now I have a pair for £12 cheaper. An evening of X Factor is ahead of me and the thought of work tomorrow. My boyfriend spoilt me on my birthday and got us tickets to Grease the Musical on Friday. I'm very excited. I love musicals and Grease is so iconic and the songs are beyond catchy.
Hope you've all had good weeks :)
