Sunday Summary #57

Another week down, just one week left of work before I've got a week off with my boyfriend - seriously need it so bad. I've come down with the most rotten "thing". I call it "thing" because I don't know what is wrong with me. On Friday I had the worlds most sore throat, Saturday I was having sneezing fits, watery eyes and shivering and today I feel like I can't breathe even though there's nothing in my nose! I did cough up some mucus from my chest so it could just be a type of chest infection. I was up nearly all night last night so have napped almost all of today. My boyfriend has been wonderful looking after me. My week has been pretty boring, just my brother's birthday on Wednesday which we had the most amazing home cooked meal for and my Mum's birthday cakes are heavenly. We watched the Brit Awards which I don't enjoy so much these days as it only seemed to be about One Direction, they had so many nominations and I don't think they're very good at all. It would have been nice to see more deserving acts win but I guess everyone has different tastes and opinions. I especially cringed at Taylor Swift, I kind of like her music but she doesn't suit dubstep and she seemed to be struggling at the few times she was singing live.
It's been another great week spending wise. I'm trying to keep as much money as possible for shopping in London next week and our other trips.
Treats from my boyfriend - this Milka Daim is meant to be amazing! Plus my all time favouite Yankee candle Black Cherry and going to try a tartlet.
Colgate Max White One £1.95 Superdug
Giving this a whirl as I would love pure white teeth without the pain of whitening.
My boyfriend got me these as you can't get Apartment Life anywhere anymore. We never buy anything in CEX and he bought himself two games, one of which is unplayable so they shouldn't have sold it. According to Trading Standards is illegal so I've sent off an email as the store didn't help so I'm hoping the website can. If not, hello Trading Standards. These two additions have helped me play more as I made it a New Years resolution to take more time out and chill. Sims is a game I've loved since a child and you can play it endlessly forever.
MAC MSF in Soft & Gentle, Archie's Girls collection lipsticks in Ronnie Red and Betty Bright and Pink Pearl Pop from the Cremesheen + Pearl collection (permanent)
I was going to swatch these in this post but my digital camera has run out of battery and I can't find the charger. I've taken the pictures on my SLR but I always get a shadow under the lens so will post separately once my digital has battery. Archie's Girls sold out so fast on MAC (obviously) but Selfridges still have stock. I bought the MSF and normal lipstick from Debenhams as they often have 10% off beauty and it justifies a MAC purchase more. I only bought the regular lipstick as its a favourite and I lost it the other week when I was out. Gutted isn't the word as it was virtually new too.
Primark purchases - Dork tee £4, navy hoody £8 and raspberry skinnies £7.90 (reduced)
Its insane Primark are doing these rip offs of Topshops tee especially as they cost in the £38 mark I believe. I'm not sure the fit is great on me, its a very straight cut and makes me look curve less, but theres something about them that I like. I can't resist anything navy so this hoody was made to be bought by me. I love coloured skinny jeans and have wanted a pair this colour for ages. It was reduced to £9 on the ticket but went through as £7.90 which is a crazy bargain - just hope they fit!
Primark pumps £7
Navy, Converse style, sold! I am loving wearing these types of pumps. I originally bought a pair in New Look as I want some Converse but wasn't sure they'd suit me and my feet rub ridiculously so I wouldn't get my wear and I don't want to waste £50 on a pair I never wear in.
Mixmag and chocolate!
I haven't bought one magazine this year because I never read them but I simply adore Chase and Status so with this having a CD too of their label signings I had to find a copy. The disc has gone wonky in my shopper bag for some reason and if you're going to read you need nibbles yes? I love the Oreo chocolate and the Egg'n'Spoon is selling out everywhere. It was £3 in WHSmith so I grabbed one of the last boxes. They shouldn't sell Easter chocolate so early - so tempting!
So that's my week. I'm hoping I've shaken this horrible "thing" soon, preferably by tomorrow but we'll see.
Hope you've all had good weeks

Sunday Summary #51

I've had such a rough week being ill I can't wait to be back to my usual self. Losing my appetite has to be the worst thing about being ill and my weight always plummets so fast from it. I seem to get such rotten colds nowadays. I was smothered in Vicks Vaborub the last few nights which helped me to fall asleep but I was blocked up a few hours later. So tired and weak, woe is me. My boyfriend has been a gentleman making me smile and suggesting food to encourage me to eat. Its definitely an illness thing to become clingy and I just want my boyfriend or my Mum. He even watched the Notebook with me this week which I've been asking him to ever since we got together and he's always said no. He told me he'd watched the start years ago and thought it was boring but was wrong after all. I was crying my eyes out so much at the end, because I knew what was coming. My boyfriend had the snottiest, soggiest arm! I also forgot to say we finally got round to watching Michael McIntyre's Showtime, I have never laughed so hard. At times my whole body was tensed up and I couldn't breathe and laugh at the same time - odd but worth it. I had such jaw ache by the end and its not even that long a show. I'm quite difficult with comedy as I only find certain people/shows/films funny. For example I HATED the film Bridesmaids, yet everyone else seems to love it. Lee Evans used to be my favourite but Michael McIntyre is closely rounding on him.
I was so naughty this week and happened to trip into Primark. Since spending a fortune in Oxford Street in November I hadn't gone in. Curiosity got the better of me - I just had to know what beauties they had. I wasn't disappointed as it seemed like they had loads in. I couldn't remember my sizes as it varies on the type of top, material and if it has buttons (they seem to have not realised girls with boobs need extra room!) so I may not keep everything.
I was waiting for my boyfriend's train to get in last night so watched Sleeping Beauty. I can never find anything on TV so was great to watch an old favourite Disney film. We watched The Adjustment Bureau today which was quite good. Took me a while to get my head around what was going on and its such a clever story. Doing really well on watching more films! Just placed an order on HMV for the LOTR trilogy and some other dvds so looking forward to those arriving. Plus lots of films appearing at the cinema so as I've got an unlimited card can't wait to get down there and see them. We're seeing Les Miserables next Saturday so excited for that and really want to see Gangster Squad.
Why do they make these tops so wide and floaty at the bottom?! Makes me look wider, so if I keep this I'll run it through the sewing machine to bring it in.
I couldn't resist this little blouse with bows on
Look at the cute little hearts and beads on the shoulders!
This looks a horrible colour with the flash, its a very dark grey, very American Apparel. I tend to size up as I prefer my hoodies baggy
 Panda pjs!
I LOVE this shirt! So so so pretty and looks divine on
I adore the top part of this but the bottom is just so baggy :(
Love the horse shoe print on this
The collar detail is just too cute
I'm a little on the fence about leopard print. I like it but not sure its really me. Reminds me of Kat Slater haha
I love the flowers on this chest section and will look so cute dressed up and down
I love blouses and bird prints so this was an obvious choice

I couldn't decide about this one but got it to try on anyway. Loved the leopards on the collar :)

And the worst part of my week was discovering the Body Shop have discontinued my FAVOURITE perfume! Gutted isn't the word. I bought two more bottles as I got one in my sales order and my boyfriend bought me a huge bottle for my birthday which I've only just opened but I don't use it everyday. Everytime I find a perfume I love it gets discontinued!
Love etc £7 each, half price
So I've done really well again except the little big Primark slip. I've just placed a few orders online but they are all for things I know I'll use/enjoy/love so I feel better about it. Nothing worse than spending hard earned money on something that gets wasted. Its ridiculous that we're already halfway through January. Time certainly does go quicker the older you get.
Hope you've all had good weeks

Sunday Summary #17

So my tiredness finally turned into too much this week. Had Tuesday and Wednesday off work, as I felt poorly Monday evening. I went to bed early and woke up Tuesday with my whole body pounding. I couldn't lift my head or open my eyes and sent the boy a rambly jumbled text, no idea how he understood it as I'd used the wrong letters in words. I really thought I'd be back on Wednesday but woke really achey and weak. I went back on Thursday but should have stayed off, felt so rough and unwell. I feel so much better for the rest though, I now only have a fortnight til I'm on holiday from work and I cannot wait. My boy is away the weekend before to visit his uni friends but has the same week off so I'll be hotly anticipating his return. It was the best feeling in the world to finally see him Thursday, we had Dominoes for tea with my littlest brother and he stayed over. Was up at the crack of dawn to make his breakfast and see him off to work before returning to bed for another three hours. Epic! Went to Asda with Mum on Friday and bought some new sleepwear. She'd brought me home the CUTEST Disney Marie/Paris pjs bottoms which I adore. I wanted the matching top and bought a second pair of bottoms haha. After years of resisting Mum's attempts to get nighties into my wardrobe I got two! I had a return for Primark and it always seems to turn into another shop. I managed some right finds, including a bodycon skirt I only told Mum on Friday I regretted getting. I saw one on the rail and to my amazement it was a 10! My size, my lucky day or what. Add to that some shoes with bows (when my boy met me he always used to say how many things with bows I own haha) some sunglasses for one whole pound and a maxi dress. Cue one incredibly happy girl. I've had loads of online orders arrive this week, and sadly most are being returned. Bought a gorgeous peter pan collar dress from New Look but overestimating my size I got a medium that is miles too big, it just drowns me. The fabric is too fine to risk trying to make it smaller. I got a slip  too but again overestimated my size and bought it too big. Bought a River Island lace dress from Asos and as I never learn, got the wrong size. I also don't particularly like it on. Currently got a Superdrug basket sitting with nearly £100 worth of items because they are doing 3 for 2...
Hair clips. Topshop bag. Nail Moustaches & Sideways Cross necklace. Primark shoes & sunglasses. Primark bodycon skirt & striped top. Primark maxi. Asda Marie pjs. Asda nighties. Les Miserables dvd. Picnic blanket. Fruit. Favourite drink. Dominoes! Ronnie. Sweet treat from my boy. Online returns :-/

Another chain bag for my collection! Wanted this so much for ages and it was in the sale! I can't believe I found a sideways cross in Claire's, seems as if every blogger and their dog has this necklace. I looked up the meaning and quite liked it so invested a whole £3. Couldn't resist the Les Mis dvd, can't wait to watch it! I woke this morning with so many bites on my right leg :( just as I thought my skin had been given a break. So thankful again for my calamine lotion, the itching was incredible and they are so big. Had to be cold all day in summer pjs so I can keep them topped up with lotion as its messy and gets everywhere. The boy found my Mean Girls dvd the other night and amazingly has never seen it. Literally could not believe him, so we watched it today. Love it so much, seen it so many times and even the boy was laughing along. Then another film he'd never seen is Cast Away so we watched that after. I'd forgotten most of it as not seen it so long. So sad when Wilson floats away!
Hope you've all had good weeks
