Sunday Summary #68

Its crazy we are nearly halfway through May, my summer holiday is in six weeks! I've embarked on a diet - my first ever! I am hoping to tone up for the beach just so I feel proud of my body. I wouldn't say I dislike it but I would like to be more defined, I'm quite straight except the curve of my boobs and bum, I'd love a waist like Lucy Meck! I am thinking of posting about how I've changed my diet as its made such a difference in just two weeks and I am still treating myself to the odd chocolate bar or Subway. My boyfriend has been away to Brighton this week and on his return last night he said how I'd lost weight which was so uplifting as I felt fatter - where's the logic! Whenever I eat better or exercise more I feel fatter when my boyfriend always says the opposite. I hadn't even mentioned anything to him he hugged me hello and said it and again when he was cuddling me later. So I'm continuing and hoping I'll have enough energy/not be so tired from work to start the 30 Day Shred as I dropped so much weight when I did it before and during that time I ate normally (McDonalds and Dominoes included).

I've had another clearout in my room this week and reorganised my dressing table. I did attempt to find some jewellery for charity but failed. I actually can't remember too much about the past week, I don't think I did anything exciting as I've been working longer hours and watching Hollyoaks on my return home and then the next days episode on E4 and then because I was so shocked at the Texas wedding death I watched all episodes twice haha. I think Hollyoaks really excel at their big storyline events and I had said to my boyfriend who I thought it was, I won't say on here but I was right! I never usually guess things ahead! I was really missing my boyfriend as we aren't apart longer than a weekend and I was so pleased to be back with him. I remember reading years back as a teenager how to keep things fresh in a relationship but after 18 months we are still very much in the "honeymoon" period which I really enjoy. He was feeling slightly tender so we just had cuddles in bed watching The Voice. Its only this year I've really got into it and watched further than the blind auditions. I think its pretty harsh the way they sing together to then be put against each other and then if the loser isn't saved, so cruel. We missed Britains Got Talent completely which is usually good entertainment. The Apprentice started this week too and is so good to watch. The only thing that annoys me is how they really snipe at each other and will do everything in their power to get someone else fired. I definitely have too much of a conscience to be such a bitch to someone.

Today was my boyfriends Grandads 80th birthday party and we went off to the seaside which was amazing as I adore the seaside. We arrived early enough to have a little wander along the seafront before arriving at the venue. We had a three course sit down meal that was simply amazing. The food was exquisite and I love my boyfriends family so much. He has two nieces and two nephews and they are all delightful. It was a lot of fun encouraging the children to eat and then playing games with them while they waited patiently for their ice cream sundaes. My starter was a salad with chicken and bacon and it had avocado in which I've never tried before but I couldn't pick it out and leave it as I felt rude so I ate it and really liked it. I guess its like another texture to a salad. My main was especially requested for me which was salmon and they asked me when I arrived if I'd like a sauce but I find salmon so flavourful anyway I was fine to have it plain. My dessert was tarte tatin which I managed to sneak a photo of - one of the best meals I've ever had.

I haven't shopped much this week as I've been having such an expensive month due to little things happening when I wanted to be frugal that I held myself back. I guess you never know whats round the corner and unexpected expenses popped up but thats life.
Scalloped ribbons £2.99, Bunting triangles £1.99 - WHSmith
I just can't help myself. I think its so easy to wonder in here and find items because they sell so many different things. I wanted these last month but was good and resisted even though I knew I would be back!
 Chapter II Benga - Amazon
I have had this album on pre-order for close to a year. I don't know why it kept being pushed back but the original release date was the start of October last year and I'd completely forgotten about it until I received the email it had been dispatched this week. I'm yet to load it onto my iPod as I have a current obsession with Iggy Azalea and The Great Gatsby soundtrack.
 2 for £10 - WHSmith
I never watched the Richard and Judy book club on TV as it was always during my work hours but for some reason everyone raves about their book choices to this day. I haven't bought one for a while as nothing had caught my eye enough but these two both look amazing. The Tigers in Red Leather is about two cousins that spend their summers at the Tiger House as they grow up and then take their families there but perfection doesn't last. It starts in 1945 which was an even bigger appeal to me. The Light Between Oceans is about a dead man and a crying baby washing up in a boat onto a remote lighthouse keepers island and the decision the couple that live there make. I think I only got this because of the lighthouse but I'm hoping its good. I will probably save the Tigers one for a holiday read as it looks perfect for the beach! Plus the 2 for £10 deal is pretty incredible compared to the supermarkets, maybe they are having to be more competitive to survive.
Now I may be on a diet  but I still allow myself the odd treat. I don't know anyone else that likes the popcorn in dairy milk but I love it. I'm yet to try the marvellous creations but I've heard good things and they look Wonka inspired.
 Rings £1.50 each - Primark
I can't resist a sparkly ring and these two were glinting away yesterday so I just had to indulge my inner magpie. I have become more of a dainty ring girl than a big cocktail ring but I loved the almost Swarvoski look to the big one.
Moustache black ballets £8 - Primark
I don't own a single pair of black shoes so I decided it was time I got some. I really like the little moustaches on these and they look so cute with skinny jeans which is how I wore them last night.
I have decided to make a bigger effort to include life photos from my week as I always used to because I'd upload them to Facebook but as a rare Facebooker I stopped. This is my boyfriends cat Flash who was being a baby now his owner was home!
An example of my lunch at work. This was quite naughty for me as I had some pasta spirals, a yoghurt and some Sunbites in there too. Usually it is just a salad and tuna on the odd day.
Flash was so happy when we got back from the party and changed into something a little more comfortable for a chat and chill out.
We were early for our connection to the party so obviously it meant a Costa! My boyfriend got the Tropical cooler which is really nice if you like virgin Pina Coladas! I went for a Peach Lemonade which is DIVINE! His parents went for coffee but I don't drink coffee and hot drinks make me feel like I need a wee so I avoid them as much as a hot chocolate would have been nice.
Beach views and of course the beach huts I covet
 Dessert!
So that's my week its been quiet but such a lovely weekend has made my week. I also forgot to mention last night I was putting a nail polish away and dropped it. Now whats the problem here you might think except the bottle decided to bounce off a glass bowl, break the neck of the bottle and proceed to spray nail polish EVERYWHERE! It got loads of my hair items, my wardrobe door runner and my carpet. Its not very much fun scrubbing nail polish out of a thick carpet. Acting fast seems to have eliminated most of the damage.
Hope you've all had good weeks

Sunday Summary #63

I went back to work on such a high on Tuesday after a lovely Easter and had a crap day haha. It looks like Spring is finally here as although its still been chilly and windy its warmed up this weekend. Sunshine puts everyone in a great mood. I am seriously excited for Summer to arrive. I've had a relatively quiet week, getting through work and I felt so unwell on Thursday, I actually considered going to A&E but woke on Friday morning to my period. I suffer so badly and occasionally get it where its virtually unbearable. I hope it eases one day but for now Nurofen Plus is my hero.

I ordered Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience a while ago but kept getting emails to say they were having problems getting a copy. I eventually received it this week and I LOVE it! I was a little worried I wouldn't like it, I was a huge fan from Justified and Future Sex/Love Sounds blew me away but The 20/20 Experience is everything a true fan could want. He's changed his sound a little to fit in with today and grown up but it is unmistakenly Justin. I'm so pleased HMV have been saved somewhat as it would leave such a gap on the high street, I've been finding it hard to get items especially as I don't tend to listen to mainstream music. I also ordered the Made In Chelsea boxset as me and my boyfriend had been catching old episodes and quite enjoyed it. I haven't watched it continuously from the start just dipped in and out so it'll be interesting to catch up. However it does seem Spencer has gotten arrogant as time has gone on and his behaviour in adverts for the new series seem so full of himself.

I've had a good shopping week again. I can't wait for Primark to get their summer dresses in as I love them. I've confirmed for a hen do in July which will be a treasure hunt in Cambridge. I am so excited as I've never been a hen before. We're getting t-shirts printed up and the treasure hunt sounds hilarious. You get split into two teams and have missions to do racing the other team back to the meeting point. The first team back wins and on the way you have to find places and take photos to prove you did the task. Being in July I'm hoping for hot weather so I'll want a pretty skirt or cute shorts to team with my t-shirt. Plus for the actual wedding I want a beautiful dress. I've been looking at prom dresses as can't find a dress that looks special enough but I'll show you on here what I find.
incense cones and bowl £2 - Evolution
I love incense and candles but don't have a little bowl for the cones. I usually use sticks but they can be messy and one stick stand I burnt using a cone on it so it seemed about time to invest. I love Evolution and this set was too cute to miss.
Lucky Charms £10 for two - Amazon
Ever since I bought my boyfriend Lucky Charms for his birthday last year we've been craving more but they can be hard to find. We came across these on Amazon on special offer and couldn't resist. The box is normal size but Amazon lists it as a value pack but it will come up if you search for Lucky Charms.
Made In Chelsea boxset £12 - Sainsburys online
I think E4 might be on series 5 now but it'll take me ages to go through this. It'll be interesting to see how the characters progress as it seems some people like Spencer and Millie used to be close but have fallen out.
Justin Timberlake The 20/20 Experience Deluxe Edition
The god that is Justin. I read this is the first part of the experience and there's more to come...
 Primark Paris vest £4
Mum found these two Primark items for me. I haven't been in for ages so should really take a look as I love their blouses and I've seen Instagrams of some jewellery I want to get.
Primark Mickey Mouse neon t-shirt £6
Gum Powder and Fizz Wiz Popping Candy - Amazon
While ordering Lucky Charms I thought I'd see what else I could find. Amazon tends to sell chocolate and sweets in bulk which is pretty pointless if its just for you as I'd get sick of an item if I had 28 of them. Gum Powder was such a favourite of mine as a child. There was only one shop in town that sold it and being so young I rarely went in unless with my Mum or a friend and parent. Its hard to describe as I haven't had any yet, but its a black bubblegum that's sour but not sharp sour. I love popping candy and I'm going to try to use this on top of iced buns next time I bake.
Primark blue floral blouse - eBay
I stumbled upon this while browsing randomly one night. I often like to see what people are selling and decided as I hadn't bought anything from eBay in ages I just had to get this. I taught my boyfriend how to be the best at bidding and win! For some reason the tag has been ripped (don't know if you have to) and there's a tiny mark/tear on the back I'm not happy about but nothing I can do about it. I'm hoping some Vanish will help.
Vanilla Coca Cola 2 8-packs for £5 - Morrisons
How could I leave these out!? Pure heaven. Me and my boyfriend have been paying £1.50 for a can on the odd occasion and now it seems Vanilla coke is making a comeback? I'll probably be sick of the stuff after these though!
 Minnie Mouse £6 - Asda
I love Disney and Mum called me to ask if I wanted her to get me this. It sounded cute so I said yes and I wasn't disappointed when she gave it to me. Plus she has sequins on her bow and shoes!
Minnie Mouse phone case £5 - Asda
I love having new phone cases and I've had my eye on this for ages but felt £10 was too overpriced. It doesn't fit great but I'll forgive that.
Storage boxes £12.99 BOGOF - WHSmith
What an absolute bargain! And so pretty. I couldn't believe this deal when I saw it. They have loads including magazine files and photoboxes but these were the best for me. I'm planning to go through my bottom drawer stuff in the loft (items for my house when I move out) in my week off work soon and need some boxes. I'll probably use these in my room for now but even when I move out will look pretty in a corner somewhere. They are huge though so take the biggest bags you own when you go as they don't fit into carrier bag. The smaller boxes are obviously inside the bigger and I managed to get these into a Sainsburys raffia shopper with the back on the bottom. It wasn't easy but worth it.

Hope you've all had good weeks

Sunday Summary #33

Had a great week shopping wise! Lots of new treats and even some Christmas shopping! Didn't have such a great end to the week as rushed up the hospital last night to visit my brother's girlfriend and my Mum's best friends daughter who I grew up with. I've never liked hospitals much, not too sure why. The smell reminds me of visiting my Grandad. I hadn't been in years til last summer when I was up there visiting someone every night for weeks and then I had to go in for tests so I've become easier with the place. I still didn't like last night. I find it so scary, all these people that are relying on the staff to care for them and you hope that they do care for them at the highest standards. I can't imagine staying in. It's made me more scared to have a baby, just thinking about being in there, let alone the pain! It was nice to go back to my boyfriend and feel safe. I couldn't wait to sleep, I felt so drained but I'd not really eaten and was so hungry. Luckily the corner shop is a few feet away and got some snacks. Couldn't believe my luck when I discovered the sell white chocolate Kit Kats!!! I searched so many places for one and they were there all along! Slept amazingly as always with my boyfriend, I always smile to myself when I see people tweet or facebook how much they look forward to being in bed alone. I hate being without my boyfriend in bed, and we both sleep better beside each other. We had a lovely day today, it was so hot! I felt like I was melting in the heat but my make up lasted very well. We had lunch at Frankie & Bennys and then went to see Anna Karenina at the cinema. I didn't have many expectations as the trailer didn't give much away but I really enjoyed it. Adore the 19th century and this film really got it right. I love how dramatic it was, the music, the costumes and the sets. Saw several trailers for films I'm dying to see - Les Miserables (seriously cannot wait for this!), The Perks of being a Wallflower, The Sweeney. Very excited for the release of Frankenweenie and the Christmas films that always appear. Highly anticipating the temperature dropping so I can wrap up.
 Galaxy McFlurry, Stretch Ronnie!
Tasted so good for Shapers. Blue sky.
Michael texts are the best. Bibby love, rare photo capture!
Second on the Medal table! Naughty Ronnie on the worktop!!
Ronnie's paw. I woke to find Ronnie and Dixie asleep like this :)
Amazing Chinese buffet with my boyfriend, loved the carrot sculpture and the Buddha especially.
Average texts with my brother. Ronnie waiting on the windowsill for me :)
 Tesco run.

 Boyfriend's cat Flash :)
Need I say more. Todays lunch.
 Primark tops.
 New Look dress.
Primark Blazer. Feels amazing on! Can't beat a price tag of £15.
 Moroccan tealight holder.
 New wind chime, Owl obviously.
That's my week. The chinese buffet was incredible. Never been to one like it before but you basically pay a set price then order as much as you like. Our waitress would write down our choices then insist we picked more. My boyfriend ate all the duck as I don't haha. And that was only a appetiser! Bless his heart, he did well. And surprisingly I felt fine afterwards. When I first started eating chinese out I would have to take tablets for the next few days as I don't think my body could cope with the amount of food or the oil in it. After about a year I was fine but rather than a belly ache for five days I'd be awake most of that night with belly ache. That soon faded too but I still tend to feel very sick after a chinese buffet but I didn't have any side effects from this one. It may be the food was freshly cooked or they used less oil but win win! If you want to see my purchases of earlier in the week you can find them here. I'm so in love with the bag still.
Hope you've all had good weeks
