Sunday Summary #14

Felt so tired this week, not sure why but hoping it goes soon. Been an exciting week as feels like plans for the year are coming together. Booked a long weekend away with my boy and I'm now hoping August gets here soon! Got lots before then to enjoy though so I shouldn't wish my time away. Very shocked May is just around the corner, time is literally racing past. Off to London on Wednesday for shopping and Les Miserables. I'm so excited, wanted to see it for ages and can't believe its finally here, feels like ages ago we booked it! Beyond excited for a week off work at the end of May, counting down the days. The boy has got it off too so will be amazing to spend my days with him. I have acquired quite a lot of clothing this week, but from my Mother! She has been finding all sorts of goodies for me, I'd seen the Primark tops but was trying to be good and not buy them, haha. The swallow cardigans I've had my eye on for ages and they went half price.
Scrapbook/stationery bits. Summer dress. Primark goodies Mum got me. George bits Mum got me. Dorothy Perkins purchases, new chain bag to replace > Primark chain bag. DP elephant necklace. DP Peace ring. New Look jewellery. Just one of many downpours this week. Subway in a basket! Huge sandwich! Chase and Status Live DVD <3. Sunday night tea of so juicy chicken, rice and roasted veg.

Longing for a Paperchase visit but I love stationery I always want everything! Really want these for my picnic bag ready for summer. The scrapbook is a project I'm planning but I can't say yet. I love finding stickers and ribbons and glitter for this type of thing. The past week has been constant thunder storms and torrential rain, I have actually quite enjoyed it! Hoping to get a storm during the night now, as I love how different it feels in the dark and being able to see the lightning so clearly. Still think the shops are in the horrible season transition stage where I can never find anything! I have tried believe me, I had a 20% off at New Look and was determined to find something, anything! I didn't even find any shoes which is very unusual as New Look is my favourite place for footwear.  Found some lovely pieces for my jewellery collection, I actually bought the DP stuff last week but left it at my boyfriends house. I've included a picture of my most loved bag in the whole entire world. I've had that chain bag since about 2006, and I absolutely adore it. Its the perfect size for everything: lunch, shopping, gigs, clubbing, meals out, pub, etc. This bag has been so many places and although its showing signs of much wear, it doesn't bother me just makes me sad. The DP bag's chain can change to be long like the Primark one or double up to sit more under your arm. I still covet a Chanel chain bag but until that day, these will do! Went to Subway with the boy and got given it in a basket, never had that before, probably to cut packaging as even when we eat in they still wrap it up for take out.
Had an appropriately lazy Sunday, made the boys scrambled eggs and toast and arranged it prettily haha. He won a long battle and we put the Change Up dvd on, although I was on SimCity 4 as I don't really like those sorts of films. It did make me giggle in parts though!
Hope you've all had good weeks. Pretty proud of myself and still managed to resist a Revlon Lip Butter purchase, although yesterday I had one in the palm of my hand...
It won't be long.

London 25.02.12

I spent last Saturday in London with my boyfriend which was amazing. Literally one of my best days ever. We got Subway for the train journey so we had eaten when we arrived and had more time. We ended up eating it at 11am and then didn't have tea til after 9pm, how I made it I'll never know!
It was such a beautiful day and I couldn't believe how pretty London looked when we arrived.
We went to buy our tickets for the Sea Life aquarium and the London Eye but the queues were SO long. Probably due to it being a Saturday and a lovely day all the families had come out as well as the usual number of tourists and Londoners. As we weren't doing either til later we made our way to Twickenham to meet my boy's friends who were there for the England v Wales rugby match. It took so long to get out there but it was such a nice vibe to go into when we arrived. I actually quite wanted to stay haha. Trying to make our way back to the station was practically mission impossible, we were going against dozens of people making their way to the stadium. We finally got back and trained to Waterloo. We were like little kids in the Aquarium pointing stuff out to each other. It was a nightmare attempting to photograph anything as you aren't allowed your flash on and its mostly dark.
The starfish was in the 'feely' tank but there was so many people crowded round we skipped past it. I loved the fish with the pink on. They also had turtles, crocodiles, sharks and penguins. We had just missed the penguin feeding time so they were all chilled out at the back on the ice.
We then made our way to Oxford Street as I wanted to go to a few shops and the boy didn't bring a coat because of the nice weather but it got really chilly in the evening. It really wasn't the season to buy a coat so he braved it in the end. I got what I wanted in Topshop (pictures at the bottom) which is what I was most lusting after. We returned to the London Eye and got tickets straight away due to it being nearly 8pm and much, much quieter. We ended up going over the top twice, as we got to about 3/4 round and had to be reversed . The view is so amazing, I've been on in daytime and this was my first night flight and I was so amazed at how far you can see and how many lights there are!
We finally got food just after 9 in McDonalds as we wanted to go and see the Olympic countdown. I didn't get my food for ages and I thought I was going to pass out, but I'd opted for a McNugget box and although I couldn't eat all of them it filled a hole. The one thing about London I always think is I would never want to take little children there, it was bad enough trying to keep hold of my boy's hand at times but people leave no room for pushchairs or little ones and I'd hate to struggle through with children. We didn't see the countdown in the end as we went the wrong way and had to tube back to Liverpool St for our train home. Struggled to stay awake on the way home, but kept my eyes open reading Twitter and Facebook haha. Wasn't impressed to get home and find no taxis!
Primark; purple blouse, swan blouse, ballet pumps and three rings
Topshop; 3x nail polishes, eyeliner brush and lip tint
Nails l-r; ice crush, hidden treasure, awol
Sisters of the New Moon lip tint in Crystal
This is what I went for! As soon as I saw it on the shelf I had one in my hand. My boy helped me pick the nail polishes, I really wanted a blue like the one Jessica Wright has been wearing in recent TOWIE episodes. Its a really unusual shade and thought the awol was slightly close to it. I am so in love with the lip tint, the glitter inside sparkles like crazy. Its limited edition so get yours quick!
Nothing really caught my eye clothes wise in Forever 21, and I was disappointed at how little I got jewellery wise as people rave about it.
I love London or Nodnol as my boy calls it, we've discussed going for a little holiday there in September for my birthday so watch this space!

Sunday Summary #2

Been a quiet week really. Not done much shopping but been so tired. Had a productive day off and tidied my room and made another shoe shelf in my wardrobe. My wardrobe rail buckled again today, third time this year. Really must get a new one. Its probably the weight of the clothes as each hanger has at least 3 items on, but its only my dresses and blouses hanging :-/

Got a day in London next month which I am too excited for. Not too sure what I'll get up to but looks like Madame Tussauds, London Eye and shopping :)

New make up drawers as going to use my cupcake ones for stationery. Its got so cold lately my panda hats and cat hat are saving me. Its amazing how much warmer you feel with a hat on. Mum bought me a cream blouse (I own every colour of these!) even though she moans "another one!" when I bring home another, had to get the navy one too. Opposite colours of tops I own, love the red jumper, so cute! Herbal essences conditioners. More statement studs <3. Making cards for my friend and Mum wanted some invitations made. New make up :) First subway ever! (Now had my second also). Went for chicken salad, nom. First ever Harvester on date night :) so full felt so sick on the way home haha.

Hope you've all had good weeks. Cannot believe its the end of January already! It usually drags like mad! Got a week off in a fortnight, can't wait! Just used an epilator for the first time ever, quite an experience but definitely going to blog about it.
