Sunday Summary #22

The weather this past week has been awful. So far from June type weather! It started with a really high wind that just didn't relent and is still going today. Its been cloudy, grey, rain of all types (mist, heavy, torrential, fine) and not really any sunshine. Spent the week helping the boy prepare for his week to Spain, writing to pack lists, last minute purchases and setting him up with a Nintendo DS to banish boredom travelling. Can't believe he's gone and my days without him are here. The weather is gorgeous over there, around 30 degrees so he'll thoroughly enjoy some sunshine and come back with a little tan I'm sure. Here's hoping he brings us back some actual summer weather!
I've been working like a beaver clearing my room out and donating to charity of recent weeks. Its amazing how much stuff I've found or forgotten all about. I finally took the plunge and changed my everyday make-up storage last night and re-did my drawers. I've again got rid of so much and re-arranged it all. I'm planning a blog post on it so watch out for what I've done :) Had a Primark slip on Thursday as I'd seen a blazer on Sunday with my boy, but he reasoned with me to get something colourful as it was summer and I own a lot of black. I find black such a safe colour, that can be worn on any occasion and never dates. I couldn't stop thinking about it and went back for it. Then when you haven't been to Primark for a while you see loads of new things that you want. I really want to try the Collection 2000 gel liner but like a muppet, it was on 3 for 2 and I couldn't find a third item! And I didn't want to miss out on something free, will try again this week haha. Been very good at minimum spending as I need to save some money for a little seaside weekend I've booked with my boy in August. I'm so looking forward to it, probably because the weather is so miserable right now.
Can't resist Hello Kitty or Minnie Mouse. Mint, blouse, spots, more than enough reasons. Heart print vest. The back has a zip. Ronnie wanting love at 6am when I saw my boy off to work. Turned up skinnies for short legs. Post: Matalan card, new Tesco clubcard as my previous didn't work, Cineworld Unlimited card. Models Own Collection. Contents of my bedside drawer?! Found so many new unopened Vaselines tidying my make-up storage.
So excited to start using my Cineworld card haha, there are several films me and the boy want to see when he's home so it'll be getting a lot of use soon. I was so fed up with the weather I wore purple skinnies and petrol blue shirt on Friday to lift my mood.

Now I have a dilemma, the blazer I talked about above, comes in two designs and I just could not decide. So I bought both with the intention of keeping one and returning one, but I am torn...
Which one do we like more?
 Colour hearts?
Or sketchy hearts?
I am swaying slightly more towards the sketchy hearts as it will go with any colour, whereas the coloured hearts would clash with some other colours.
Hope you've all had good weeks :)

Sunday Summary #21

This past week has felt so long and topsy turvy. I love a bank holiday but they make the week feel much longer then usual. Really enjoyed the Jubilee celebrations on the tv and the feeling I got from it. I love seeing bunting and flags hung proudly all over my town.
My boyfriend helped me set up my new laptop last night and I was feeling poorly so he took great care of me. He made me cry with laughter when we were looking at the different effects you can put on my webcam. I finally caved and bought Sims Medieval as I've wanted it since it was released last year and I saw it in Tescos on Friday. The boy has been playing it and we've both got really into it. Sims games are so addictive! I'm still holding out on Sims 3, but it won't be long...
I haven't really shopped this week. Just a few odd bits in Tescos (mr bump sweets, baby boy card, toiletries) but did find an Eternal Gold Maybelline Colour Tattoo on their stand which I snapped up. Went shopping with the boy today to get some last bits for his holiday next week. We've had a perfect weekend together which I've loved but at the same time will make me miss him so much more when he's not here for the next two. It will be so weird without him as we've been inseparable for the past six months except New Year and a few weekends back when he went back to his uni friends. Absence makes the heart fonder and all that.
Free Benefit. Primark goodies. Lipstick holder! Revlon lip butter in Cupcake. Greggs sandwich, NOM. Sunny D, childhood memories. Asda charity disc. Toy Story Woody lunchbox. Twix McFlurry. ZINGY! Nandos.
Glamour have been very naughty and released hardly any That Gal primers, slapped hands for them. Not too sure what will happen to them. I'd asked my Mum to get whichever ones she found on her weekly shop and on the same day me and the boy popped to Morrisons for lunch and found two. I didn't text her as I didn't mind having more freebies. I've heard so many good things about Porefessional that I'm excited to try it as I quite like a primer of late. When in TK Maxx with my boy today I couldn't believe I found the lipstick holder! At £1.99 I couldn't leave it. I can't wait to have it on my dressing table with favourites on display. I also finally caved and got the lip butter, my boy helped me pick a shade and I'm hoping I enjoy using it. Some of the testers were really thick and sticky but hoping its just the conditions they're in not the product. I had a Twix McFlurry on Friday and it was alright, Crunchie is still my absolute favourite. I was ever so excited to find a Zingy had popped through my door. I love him and had been hoping I'd receive one. Me and the boy finally got the Cineworld Unlimited card and saw Snow White & The Huntsman on Friday after a Nandos. It was my choice and I enjoyed it. I've only ever seen the Disney Snow White but this was such a dark twist on a classic fairytale and I think Kristen Stewart actually suited the role. She's definitely like Marmite it seems. We saw his choice today which was Prometheus. SO SCARY!!! I had to look away at so many parts haha and nearly crushed the boys hand squeezing it.
Hope you've all had good weeks

Models Own Hedonist

So I got round to wearing this and its such a lovely colour. Hedonist is such a neon colour and I'm not quite sure if I can say what colour it is. It varies in different lights. I'd go for a pinky orange though. Instead of red nails if I want to make a statement this will be the polish of choice. Its the perfect summer colour to own and I'm sure I'll wear this loads. This seems to me like the favourite from the Hed Kandi collection and I can see why. Its such an unusual colour and lovely shade.
You can see the orange tones in these pictures. It is so bright and neon but so hard to capture.
Do you own Hedonist?

Sunday Summary #20

After a week off work I am feeling very chilled and wishing I wasn't going back soon. I was a very happy bunny to be reunited with my boy after his weekend away. I couldn't wait to spend time with him as work does take up most of our time during the week. The weather started scorching hot on Monday but cooled down considerably on Tuesday. Wednesday was another warm one but its been cool and grey ever since. Its rained a lot today but we spent most of the day cuddled in bed watching tv, mostly the Thames Pageant for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
We saw American Pie: Reunion Wednesday (the boys choice) but I did enjoy it somewhat. Haven't really seen the previous films, just caught parts but could get the overall gist of things and would ask the boy if unsure. Cineworld kindly mixed salted (bleurgh), butter (bleurgh) and sweet popcorn so it was a taste sensation. We gave up after a while because it tasted so weird. We didn't realise until quite late and then didn't see the point in complaining as we've never had a good experience with Cineworld, which is a shame being the only cinema in my town. However we are looking to invest in unlimited cards as there are so many films coming out this summer and we both really enjoy going to the cinema. Got my second tattoo on Wednesday which I absolutely adore. I am beyond happy with it and can't wait for it to heal. I then did a little Primark shop which was a little naughty as trying to stay away. Being so cheap I can always justify every purchase whether I want it, need it, like it or am unsure. I'm going to try just visiting a few times a month to see if it cuts back my spending in there. I wanted a beach trip this week but it rained Thursday and Friday was another cloudy/rain spots day. I will wait patiently for the hot weather to return. The only good thing about the rain has been I have been bitten far far less since. I was so good this week and did hardly any shopping despite being paid. I've been meaning to go to Matalan for months so it doesn't count!
Purple Primark Mens hoody. Summer hat. New Look hoody. See the ears! Aztec print. Banana Pjs. Teal skinnies & Swallow shirt. Tresemme. Primark jewellery. Dream Catcher and fruit. Matalan! My Ronnie. Long hair for a twisted round bun. Bunnies! Cinema. First ever curry! Kinder surprise <3 My boys cat. Swallow :) Milk bottles. Union jack love. Chinese. Cocktail in a tin! The boys cider. Panda mug. New cushion from my Mum :)
I love the purple hoody so much, its the prettiest shade. My boy stole the blue one I bought so I got the New Look one to replace it because it has ears! Its so nice for me to see all these photos from the last week and remember how good its been. Hasn't happened before! Had to sit through Lord of the Rings last night, really is not my kind of film. My cocktail helped and I was perusing my facebook. Woke to my Mum making me and the boy breakfast this morning which has to be one of the best starts to a day. I used my panda mug for my hot chocolate, he doesn't get used much as I don't often drink hot drinks. Love my London cushion addition, and lusting after a telephone box one I saw in Primark so I'll be back for that this week. Going to be good this month and attempt to be frugal. Having said I've just ordered a new laptop...my littlest brother wants to buy mine off me. As I work full time and he just has a paper round I feel its the sisterly thing to do by saying yes and upgrading to a newer one. I can't wait to pick it up in a few days. Just discovered one of the tops I got in Matalan has a tag left in it! How I didn't notice before, so need to make a trip to get that taken out, so annoying. I would cut it out, but its pretty much on the seam. The weird thing is we didn't beep when we left as I waited for it because I dread it! My tattoo has started to heal much faster than my previous and friends have commented how fast its healing. Might be I've always worn leggings pulled up or a skirt this week so its had more air. Its now entering the itching/dry/peeling stage. I'm hoping it doesn't last long as I've had enough of itching from bites!
Hope you've all had good weeks
