50 Random Facts About Me

50 feels like a big number and not sure I can reach it but here goes...

1 - I have to think what age I am when asked...

2 - I used to be a bad/light sleeper and even cured myself of insomnia

3 - I sleep better next to my boyfriend

4 - My dreams are always really vivid and I wake thinking they really happened

5 - I am addicted to buying make-up

6 - MAC lipsticks and nail polish are my weakness

7 - I don't look out of windows at night...incase someone is outside looking back at me

8 - When I was younger at night I was convinced there'd be a monster under my bed ready to bite my foot/ankle. I used to leap into bed from across the bedroom and I'd have to work myself up to get out for a wee

9 - The O.C. is the best TV show ever

10 - The O.C. is the only TV show I've watched every single episode of several times, I own all the boxsets and books

11 - I am a MASSIVE Disney fan

12 - I love Banksy

13 - I wish I could eat Lucky Charms everyday

14 - I want to work in Lush

15 - I love wearing dresses

16 - I have two tattoos and want more

17 - I hate people who slurp or eat noisily

18 - I want to live beside the seaside

19 - My dream car is an Audi or Mini Cooper

20 - I instantly get annoyed with people who have no manners, it doesn't cost anything to say excuse me or thank you

21 - I want babies but I'm scared to give birth

36 - I love to read but rarely do it these days

38 - I can't stop buying cases for my iPhone - reminds me of owning a Nokia as a teenager

40 - I never wanted an iPhone and now I couldn't be without it

41 - When I was little I used to have the same nightmare when I was ill that skeleton burgulars broke into my house and stole my family at night

42 - I hate needles but I'm fine with tattoo needles

45 - I cried when Geri quit the Spice Girls

47 - I budget my money every month so I can afford everything I want to do and buy whilst saving and paying into my pension

48 - Pinocchio, Dumbo, E.T. and the Siamese cats in Lady and the Tramp really scared me as a child. I still haven't been able to watch them

49. I HATE being sick and will do anything to avoid it happening

Pet peeves: Noisy eaters, slurpy drinkers, gulpy drinkers, no manners, pushy people, people who walk slow, people who take up the entire aisle/pavement/street! 

Quote from a movie: "Ohana means family. Family means no-one gets left behind or forgotten" Lilo & Stitch. This quote means so very much to me. I grew up with Disney and my littlest brother loved Stitch so Lilo and Stitch was regularly playing. This line is so iconic to me, it stuck in my head and in the past year its been a quote I've reminded myself of probably daily, as my family stuck together and helped each other through the hardest of times imaginable. 

Right or left handed: Right 

Stores you love:  Primark, Boots, New Look, Matalan, Topshop, Disney Store, little vintage and craft shops. 

Time you wake up: 6:35 for work and about 9:30 on my days off 

Underwear: I have a weakness for polka dots. Rarely match my underwear, unless my boyfriend picks it. 

Vegetable you hate: None, I love vegetables!!

What makes you run late: Taking too long to get ready for work, have an hour in the morning before I have to leave the house, and some days its a mad dash to leave!

X-Rays you’ve had: Just my teeth 

Yummy food that you make: I'm good at roasts, casseroles, roasted veggies and cake decorating

Zoo animal: Tigers, Penguins and Lions. Dying to go to Edinburgh to see the Pandas!

Make Up Q&A

When I saw that Lacey had posted this I just had to do my own version! Love these sorts of posts. 


1. What’s your favourite eye shadow colour to wear? Not an eyeshadow as such but I pretty much wear the Collection 2000 Glam Liner in number 3 Funk everyday. An entire lid covering would be a MAC Paint Pot. 

2. What’s the one product you wouldn’t leave your house without? Lipbalm, I hate dry lips! 


3. What’s your favourite makeup look? Black cat flick eyes - they really open up your eyes. 

4. Which feature do you play up the most? Eyes, I really think eyes make the face. 


5. Which feature do you try to downplay/cover up? My pores, they're aren't bad but I wish I had doll like skin. 

6. Your favourite makeup brand, if you could pick only ONE to exist? MAC 

7. Which product have you re-purchased OVER and OVER again? I tend to buy different products to try so never really stick to the same. However Avon lipgloss, I've been using for about 8 years. Ticks all the boxes and I get through so many tubes. 

8. Which product would you NEVER repurchase again and why? Rimmel nail polish, chips after only a few hours. 

9. One beauty treatment you would always PAY to have done? Eyelash extensions or (maybe) fake tan. 

10. One beauty treatment you would NEVER pay to have done? Nails - so many good products on the market now to do your own. I've seen salon routines ruin too many girls nails and I think they look pretty vulgar in all honesty. Shop bought false nails are more realistic and you're more likely to know the products/chemicals going on your nails. 


11. One beauty trick you can share with everyone? Not sure I have one! Always be comfortable with the products you wear. 

12. Best advice you've ever been given regarding beauty and makeup? Always remove all make-up at night and cleanse, tone and moisturise.
